I often forget why I’m here.
In Nashville. Trying to do music for a living.
It’s so easy to get caught up in it all. Jobs, school, responsibilities, relationships, etc. These are all good things. They’re gifts. But we can’t let them drown our purpose.
At the heart of it all there’s that piece of passion that brought me down to the South.
That album I listened to when I was little. The first chord I ever played on guitar. The feeling I get when my friends and I bring my songs to life.
It’s important to remember these things. To not ignore the good of the past. It’s what makes us who we are.
This is my fuel.
Every now and again, travel back.
See where it takes you. See where it takes us.
Let’s have fun with it, and live doing what we love.
